Directions to the Park Place Law Nanaimo office, located at 2124 Bowen Road from the Nanaimo Parkway (Highway 19)
Take the Northfield exit (first after Mostar travelling south, first after Jinglepot travelling north).
At the intersection of Bowen and Northfield (the second set of lights), keep going straight through the intersection - make the first right into the lane past the intersection behind the brown building at the corner (Klear and Co, Northfield Dental and notary’s office). Take the lane to the school playing field which you will see on your left; our building is opposite this playing field. You will see parking spots at the back of the building and you can park there. You can also turn right and proceed up the pass way from the lane to the courtyard in front of our office where parking is also available.
These directions allow you to avoid going around the block due to the median on Bowen which prevents you from turning left into our building (Park Place) from Bowen Road.

Take the turnoff from Highway 19 at the Petrocan service station.
Proceed along Northwest Bay Road up the hill. Continue straight past the turnoff for Fairwinds and the Canadian Forces (Maritime) Base. Shortly, on the left, you will see the signpost for the shopping centre, where Quality Foods and the Cascadia liquor store are located. Our office is storefront, next door to the Coastal Community Credit Union and the Guardian pharmacy.

Fees
As discussed in the Mediation section of this site, sharing the cost of one lawyer in mediation is a good way to keep fees down, as family lawyers charge by the time that is spent on your case.
We have different hourly rates, or fees, for each of our lawyers. Fees will be discussed with you when you seek information regarding mediation, or when you book an initial consultation for general advice. The same fee schedule applies if you decide to retain one of our lawyers.
We do not offer free initial office consultations for family law matters. A fee for any such consultation is based on each lawyer’s hourly rate.
If you have an initial consultation about your family law matter from any lawyer of the firm, we are then not subsequently able to act as a mediator on your case, as neutrality has been compromised. In that case, should you wish to mediate your family law matter, we will help you find a certified family law mediator.
We strive to be explicit about what fees, out-of-pocket expenses, and taxes you can expect to be charged, and encourage you to ask about fees at any point. You will be told what you can do to help keep your fees reasonable in your case.
